Tips - Blogshops
Posted Wednesday, December 12, 2012 // 7:55 PM
The usual price of blogshop pieces ranges from $20-$50. Yet somehow, when they are having sales, fleas or warehouse clearance sales, the price starts from $2. Weird? Magic? Sorcery? Nah, it's just business.

Anyway, here is just some tip when you are doing blogshopping with a tight budget, or in my case, just blogshopping.

These are just for blogshops. I will update more about Gmarket/fleas/warehouse sales in another post.

  1. Always go right to the sales menu. Same applies for real life, really.
  2. Be very aware of your measurements, let's not waste money on something you can't fit in, you're not Santa nor are you rich to risk that.
  3. Scan through the prices, if the original retail price
    • RTP is just $4.90 more than the sales prices, please press X
    • Always set a gauge to the amount to spend on blogshop
      • Since flea can have their clearance at $5-10, I suggest you set your estimated amount at about $15, $18 if you are feeling generous enough to part with your money
  4. If you are just buying one piece on the website, just use normal postage, but if you are paranoid as hell with extreme bad luck, go ahead and click on the registered postage. So far I just use them since it is free and I bought a bunch of things from ASOS.
  5. If the sales is good, sign up for their mailing list.
    • You don't want an inbox filled with unwanted information of overpriced clothing items tempting you.
  6. Try not to impulse buy, leave the item that fancies your interest in until the next day and if you still think about it, still leave it cause if you can find it on the internet, you probably can find it in real life too. Or you can find it here:
More about SGFLEA. It is an online secondhand shop that people post their selling posts or looking post or sprees or blogshop launch on. It is my blogshop paradise with the secondhand (Usually brand new or just worn once) prices that is a steal. People would post their items that they bought but can't fit in or impulse buy that they never wear since they bought it 6 months ago. This site is a compilation of all those blogshops that can seriously save your wallet from burning.

But of course, there are things to take note of on this website:

(For your wallet's safety, not for your shopping safety, cause really, who can be sure?)

  1. Stay away from posts that has all the preorders or pictures of Korean clothing item, cause preorders can go up to $50 per pair of shoes.
    • And please, try not to buy designer knockoff, cause if they are "inspired", they overprice it in the name of the brand, and that's not worth it.
  2. Stay away from blogshop launches cause those designs would probably appear again on SGFLEA at a cheaper rate.
  3. All the prices here are discounted to a point where the seller just want to earn a quarter of the prices back, so be kind when negotiating.
I am out of tips or blogshops. But I do hope you enjoyed this blogshop tips post! Have fun cyber buying!
